Former Manchester United midfielder Roy Keane has slammed his former club for treating Cristiano Ronaldo with disrespect after being dropped from the bench in the team’s defeat at Manchester City 3-6 English Premier League on Sunday.

The Portugal international was only a substitute again and did not feature at the Etihad Stadium, with Keane pointing out that the Red Devils did not let Ronaldo leave the squad. It was seen as “insulting” and should have been left out since the summer. When the 37-year-old expressed his desire to leave to qualify for the Champions League.

“I think United are showing disrespect to Ronaldo, he should be released before the market opens,” Keane told Sky Sports.

“The manager held him, okay, he said he wanted to have options. But you can’t have Ronaldo sitting on the sidelines. He is one of the best players of all time ufabet.”

“He has a choice. (To move out in the summer) the idea that he had no choice was ugly. He has four or five good options.”

“The big picture is that he (Ten Hag) won’t let Ronaldo play, it will be even more hated as the season goes on. United have shown no respect for Ronaldo.”
